Sugarlips Apparel

Finally we are having a good weather and a taste of sunshine, I could not wait any longer to wear some of my new summer dresses.
A while ago, I got this gorgeous dress straight from downtown Los Angeles, cool isn't it? It's a shame that I didn't go to America to get this truly cool and chic piece but fortunately I received it from Sugarlips Apparel.
I was very excited when Sugarlips got in touch with me, because it's nice to be wearing a cool Californian brand, which is something different, that no one has in the UK.

This colour block dress has a great fit and I totally adore the three colours in it. The bright coral is almost neon contrasting beautifully with the nude and the black band breaks it up nicely. It looks more like separates pieces, rather than a dress which is nice because is something so easy to wear and you don't have to accessorise much either.  I am suspect to say anything about the nude/bright colour combo, which still one of my favourites combinations since summer last year.

I was wearing; Dress: c/o Sugarlips, Kimono: Zara, Clutch: Jigsaw, Shoes: Topshop, Necklace: Marni + HM

They do ship internationally, so a look on their website is worth it.

 See you soon.

Forever 21 - Press Day - A/W 2012

Last night, I dashed to the West end for the Forever 21 press day. I was in tight schedule and if I was lucky I would make it the nick of time, just minutes before the end. I took my chances because I was eager to see what Forever 21 has in store for the upcoming season and it was well worth it. The attention to detail, from the embellishments to the spikes and also the jackets which had a great tailoring, everything was very refreshing and truly fab.
You would not believe if I told you that this whole collection will cost £36 or under! Would you?
Gorgeous and super affordable, what else can we ask for?
(One of each please...)

A peep on my favourites:

I loved the spiked detail on this jacket.

Orange and corals are stil some of my favourite colours for this summer and I intend to carry on with some of the bright and neon colours into the winter as well. I think they look amazingly modern mixed with greys, purples and black. Very much with me for this A/W, Forever 21 has read my mind with this super cute biker style jacket with sweatshirt details and the orange top with the amazing maxi necklace is something that I want right now!

I naturally started to style some looks.

This mini lace dress is super sexy.

This galaxy print shirt is kind of irresistible, isn't it?

I can't wait for the end of July beginning of August when this collection will star to hit the shop. How about you? Has any caught your eye?

See you soon.

Sun is out... time for Marni

Finally the sun is out and we are having the first taste of summer in the UK. I could not wait any longer to wear one of my Marni for H&M silk dress and show my white legs out and about. Although this dress was not one of my priorities on my Marni/H&M wish list, I eneded up getting it because I think it looks quite dressy and I really loved the colour combination. It's an easy match for many of the accessories I have already got ;-)

I was wearing: Dress: Marni for H&M, Bag: From Brazil, Shoes: Zara, Sunglasses: Alexander McQueen, Belt: From a charity shop.

See you soon.

GlossyBox April- Review

Knock, knock... This month Glossybox has knocked on my door, full of great goodies the review comes a bit later than expected this month.

Caudalie, Vinosource. (Sample size)
This is an S.O.S thirst quenching serum and it has indeed a super light weight formula, it comes more into a serum as you spread it onto your skin. As with all serums I find the skin feels a little bit taut after the application but after using it for a few days I feel that my skin is more moisturised for sure.

Monu, Spa Hand and nail cream. (Travel size)
A nice 50 ml travel size, ideal to carry around on your handbag. It contains lavender and lemon essential oils and therefore has a really pleasant smell. Good moisture as well, not like some creams that when you apply and your hands feel dry quickly.

Phillip B,  styling hair gel. ( sample size)
I haven't used this yet and I am not sure if ever will.  The styling gel maybe ideal for those who want a sleek hair style, or as recommended by the manufacturer it can also be used as a root lift, before blow-dry. This actually would be more suitable for me, who lacks body in their hair but I much prefer to use a spray for that. I think the get could be quite messy, plus I have the impression that it could look like dandruff on the scalp, after blow drying, if not applied properly.

Figs & Rouge, lip balm. (Full size)
I fell in love with this lip balm even before I opened the package. This is such a charming tin so pretty and vintage looking. The lip balm itself is also organic and it's very refreshing. I say refreshing because the flavour I got was peppermint and tea tree, which is meant to have antibacterial properties. I liked it and I would like to try something different next time, maybe coco and vanilla, sounds great, huh?

Inika, organic lip liner. (full size)

A close up of the organic lip liner. It's a great colour, really natural and very similar to the ones I used to buy ages ago. On the picture it came out a bit darker than what actually is, it also has a little bit of gold (colour) in it, which I don't mind.
Please excuse my nail in that picture,  never underestimate the power of macro!

This month was also GlossyBox first anniversary, my wishes to Glossybox is another year full of success, full of great goodies for us too.

See you soon.

New in- Neon perspex necklace

This necklace is pretty cool, I have always loved anything made of perspex and I have always wanted something like this. I was happily surprised when I was almost 'welcomed' by this necklace at H&M! It was the first thing I spotted coming through the doors. To be honest, I had gone in there looking for a different necklace but how could I resist this one? Another little great addition to my collection which I bought it and worn it straightaway.

The response to it was like Marmite, you either love or hate it.
I would love to know what do you think of it?

See you soon.

Rainbow manicure

The  weather in England is horrible at the moment, we are meant to be on Spring and it is still cold and pouring with rain. For the past month, it's been raining everyday, so in order to cheer myself up, I gave my nails a touch of spring, with a lovely 'rainbow' manicure.

I've always wanted to paint my nail like this but it took me a while to have all the right colours. The neon yellow, was my latest buy and just what I needed to complete my palette.
Although in the pictures the orange comes out very similar to the coral, in real life you could distinguish the difference between the two colours. I didn't want them to clash anyway, my intention was to go for the rainbow look.

eBay Fashion Blogger event

Last week, I was also invited to the eBay fashion blogger event which was a fun evening. The eBay Fashion outlet has a great selection of multi brand items at amazing prices, which makes eBay just a bit more tempting than never.
Since I am big Ebayer it was a pleasure to meet Carrie Bienkowski, Head of eBay Fashion and all the girls from eBay, which were really lovely. I was also nice to meet so many bloggers, which were eager to style some outfits to possibly win a trip to Paris.

I had the gorgeous Chanie Munn modelling the look I've styled. I was going to wear it myself, because it's a truly relaxed look which I loved but I could not bear to take my (stuck) leather trousers off. Plus, Chanie does look 10000 times better in front of the camera than me.

Chanie Munn wore Blue Inc Candy stripe top £17,  Kenneth Cole peg trousers £26,  Onfire Linked belt £18.99, Truffle Cork heel platform shoes £30, Bag vintage from eBay and Necklace 'stylist's' own.

A behind the scenes shot.

The pieces used to style our looks were from the Spring/Summer eBay fashion collection, mixed with some vintage items from eBay.

It was interesting to see each bloggers take on different looks, click here to catch up with all the outfits. I really love playing with clothes and I love styling people too, so what do you think of the look I put together?

See you soon.

Jigsaw - Womenswear A/W 2012 - Press Day

Last week I was super excited to see Jigsaw's fabulous collection for this upcoming Autumn/Winter. Held at their boutique shop in Dover Street.

Here is a peep of the collection, a great mix of classic and contemporary pieces with some delightful modern twists.

Famous for their super soft and warm knits, this was one of my favourite rails.  I would most definitely wear all of those.  I loved the colour of the first one, hot pink mixed with grey, playful and easy to wear with anything. The chunky ones in the middle are very cosy and have a gorgeous, really modern detail at the bottom (which I have pictured below) and the last one is so cute with a Peter Pan collar, you can never go wrong.

This silk blouse is beautiful tailored and it has an amazing vintage feel to it.

Have a look at those emerald green over-the-knee boots, they are gorgeous. The colour is so different and that is the reason why I think they are so hot.

A LBD is an essential, as it goes with everything. Here's a great example of how good accessorising can transform this basic look into a fun yet very stylish outfit. I must say I completely fell in love with these shoes. They are so beautiful.

The classic cardigan has a twist with pretty rhinestone buttons.

Easy and perfect for everyday wear, I want a pair of those.

The star of the show in my opinion are these amazingly fantastic leather leggings. They are absolutely divine. The leather is soft like butter and on the inside they have a cotton feel, which is so comfortable. They are beautifully cut and they have an amazing fit.  A total must have and a number one, or numero uno as I say on my wish list! For sure.

I love strong colours and prints and these are very much me. The cardigan in particular is so unique, another classic with a great twist.

The tweed jacket, a classic and a must have. It adds a touch of elegance instantly, doesn't it? So, this one with a lovely metallic fleck can be worn by all age groups and it will certainly glamour you up.

It was hard to pick just one of the accessories, if I had to chose a favourite, you probably already know I am a bag girl and this one really caught my eye.  I totally loved it's simplicity and colour.

For the lady like look, fitted pencil skirts and well tailored coats and jackets.

I met Gracie, who was fun to talk to, we had a good chat about the collection.

Gracie, already mixing some of her funky vintage accessories with this lovely green coat.

See you soon.
