A touch of spring

Hi guys,

Today's post is a little different from what I would normally blog about. Yesterday was a beautiful spring day, I just love to see all the trees green and flowers everywhere.

I went for a walk down the park. Sometimes, it's just nice to go out with a camera and a pocket full of inspiration. You just end up paying more attention to what is around you and coming across interesting things, that you may not have noticed before.

Pink blossoms are gorgeous they make me so happy! Found them near my house.

kensington palace
A gorgeous little sign, I found at Kensington Palace.
Ohhh, I LOVE IT.

minnie mouse ears
It was funny in asking a stranger to take my pic! Specially when you are wearing Minnie Mouse ears, but I told you, I WAS inspired.

A road full of white blossoms, looks like snow. WOW.

tulips
I love tulips too!

These white blossoms are so delicate, their petals look like rice paper flying with the wind.

Piracy

Hi guys,

Here I'm in a very bright outfit, just the way I like it! My summer wardrobe is begging to come out, full of colours.

I also love this outfit, because it takes me back, to McLaren and Westwood's first catwalk show, the Pirate collection, way back in 1981! (A/W 1981-2).
The 'squiggle' (how this funny print is called) it's an iconic print, a total Westwood classic! It's bold, fun and definitely not for the faint hearted.

I was so excited that I was able to get my hands on some cool 'pirate' items, I just had a heart attack when this print was back, summer last year. I had always been a huge fan of it... Ahhhh, finally a dream had come true!

Arrrrr!

Such a gorgeous and cool print on her jumpsuit, teamed up with a fabulous Chanel bag. Tres chic!

A lovely vintage short jumpsuit, with another adorable print and colour. I like the detail of her folded boots, cool idea for the spring.

I just loved the tasseled waistcoat she was wearing, is a cool, avant garde piece and a great idea for a diy.

A fun and flirty outfit! Her skirt extremely cute, combined with vintage T and great heels. I love this look!
Ps: I have the same pair in blue ;-) they are fab!

Bargains... I love one!

Hello guys,

Another quick outfit post today, the sale outfit post!

Who doesn't like a bargain? Today's outfit was just made of bargains, everything I am wearing was on sale or cheap as chips. The most expensive thing here is the jacket, not costing more than £50. The sparkly top was only £10, I was smiling and saying oh my gosh, at the same time. I love to shop, specially when the price is good...

Only item here off sale was the bag ;) but I do think is worth it to splash on your accessories! LOL

Pop Store at Whiteleys

Hi guys,

If you haven't heard about the 'Pop Store' at Whiteleys, you are missing out!

Pop store is a new boutique concept, full of charm and great designers. Appearing in different locations, causing a storm and disappearing just as quickly. Come and gone in a flash, that is the idea!

Well, I am taking full advantage, since they have opened a few shops at the first floor of Whiteleys shopping centre. There will be a few more stores coming up soon, I can't wait!

Cool brands such as Disney Couture, Tom Binns, Wildfox and FrostFrench, to name a few are all up for grabs! You'll find them all, spread in cool, different shops.

Here some pictures from 'The Bower of Bliss'. This shops sells the most adorable and coveted jewellery!
Ohhh God! I did spend ages in there... I simply could buy pretty much EVERYTHING! I had my eye on the deer's head ring, I finally got it (pictures to come) and I also ended up getting some Disney couture jewellery as well. Now I am well and truly hooked!

I already got SO MANY compliments on both pieces... I am totally loving it.

Cool and gorgeous porcelain utensils on sale too.

Hand made ceiling with Japanese inspiration.

A little bit of Disney Couture! Love-need-want everything...

Here I am trying on the famous 'Tom Binns' for Alice in the wonderland necklace!
It's truly gorgeous, a statement piece indeed! It's also quite heavy but just amazing!
(Costing around £700+ this baby, is in a closed cabinet, well protected. So thanks so much guys for letting me try it on!)

Here some snapshots from the 'Pop Store'.

The Wildfox, love potion 9 is a MUST HAVE T! Don't you agree?

...la la la, some more lovely stuff.

I think this a pretty cool shop, so therefore I am sharing it with you guys! Look at me, don't I look like a happy shopper?

Check on their website: www.popstore.shop.venda.com

See you soon.

Going with the wind

Hello guys,

So, today some pictures of the outfit I was wearing the other day... Here in London the sun is shinning but the weather is still so so, a mixture of cold in the wind and warm and lovely in the sun.

This combination is colourful, springy and reminds me of a Candy striper! Hope you enjoy it!

Alternative Fashion Week @ Spitalfields Market

Hi guys,

Today I had the chance to attend the 'Alternative Fashion Week @ Spitalfields Market'.

Spitalfields is a big market based on the East side of town. Like Portobello, it has a mixture of vintage and new bits, but it's much bigger, busier and better in the sense that there are loads garages (transformed into markets on the weekend) where stalls are put up or sometimes you get the odd car, the with it's boot open, full of treasures.
The option for vintage clothes and accessories is much bigger around there, since East London is also home for 2 great vintage shops, Absolute Vintage and Beyond Retro.

The Alternative Fashion Week is happening up to the 23rd of April, showcasing new talents on it's daily fashion shows and also holding a fashion market with clothes, accessories and textiles. Worth the visit, I had a great day out!

I got there a bit late, not knowing that the fashion show starts at 1:15PM but luckily for me I didn't miss too much and managed to take some great snaps.

Here we go:

Adorable designs by Chantal Gibbs-Jones, perfect if you are cupcake babe!

Cool knitwear by Anna Wilkinson.

Fluid, shiny and futuristic designs by Olga Shishkina.

This amazing show was all created by 2nd year students from the Kensington and Chelsea College. (Where I have also graduated from.)
Just loved the textures created. The collection was all black but the attention to detail was beautiful and very creative.

And here just the big finale with all the models from all the shows, good for me to catch up on what I had missed...

Boys, boys, boys... in kilts for Richards Evans-Lacey.

Wish I had seen this whole show properly ;(

Loved those prints, especially on the leggings.

Shame I am not able to check out the other days... Go, if you can!

See you soon.
